Dr. Brian Ginsberg obtained his medical degree in 1975 and his anesthesia degree in 1983 from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa. He is Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at Duke University Medical Center.

 

Sachin Kheterpal, MD, MBA

Associate Professor of Anesthesiology
University of Michigan Medical School

Dr. Kheterpal received his BS, MD, and MBA from the University of Michigan. Prior to a clinical anesthesiology career,
he was the lead architect of a leading commercially available clinical information system – General Electric Centricity®. He led the global clinical information system product development team at GE Healthcare IT. He brings nearly two decades of informatics, software development, and business administration experience to perioperative outcomes research. He is the principal investigator of the multicenter perioperative outcomes group (MPOG), a research and quality improvement consortium of more than 40 anesthesiology and surgical departments.

 

Vivek Moitra, MD

Associate Professor of Anesthesiology
Columbia University Medical Center

Dr. Vivek Moitra is is currently an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at the Columbia University Medical Center in the Division of Critical Care, Chief of the Division of Critical Care in the Department of Anesthesiology and the Medical Director of the Cardiothoracic and Surgical Intensive Care Units. He is the Program Director of the Critical Care Medicine Fellowship program. His skills as an educator were recognized in 2007 by the Katherine Cozine Teacher of the Year Award.

 

Carla Ellis Peters, Ed.D.

US Peace Corps Country Director, Ghana

Dr. Carla Ellis Peters is an expert in Curriculum Development, having been a leading educator, principal, and superintendent in Chicago Public Schools, Northern Indiana Charter Schools, and the DePaul University Center for Urban Education. She is currently Country Director for Peace Corps in Ghana.

 

Michael Roizen, MD

Wellness Institute Chair, Cleveland Clinic

Dr. Michael Roizen is currently Institute Chair at Cleveland Clinic’s Wellness Center. He is Former Chair of Anesthesia at the University of Chicago and a Former Dean at SUNY Upstate Medical School. He has given over 1,400 lectures to professional medical groups and has been recognized with over 20 professional lectureships.

 

Douglas C. Shook, MD

Assistant Professor of Anesthesia
Brigham and Women’s Hospital (Harvard)

Dr. Douglas Shook graduated from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in 1997. He won the 2005 Teacher of the Year.
